VL53L0X نسل جدید ماژول فاصله یاب لیزری براساس اصل ToF (زمان پرواز) است که در کوچکترین پکیج حال حاضر موجود در بازار قرار گرفته است و فاصله را به درستی و با دقت اندازه می گیرد. این ماژول قادر به اندازه گیری فاصله تا دو متر است و با قرار دادن یک معیار جدید در سطوح عملکرد فاصله سنجی، امکان استفاده از آن را در کاربردهای بسیاری می دهد.

انتشاردهنده 940 نانومتری VL53L0X کاملا در برابر دید چشم انسان نامرئی است و پس از جفت شدن با فیلترهای مادون قرمز فیزیکی داخلی قادر به اندازه گیری محدوده وسیع تری بوده و همچنین ایمنی بیشتری نسبت به نور محیطی دارد.
